Isolation makes us distrust ourselves, question our personal thinking processes as we're not able to get much third party feedback. Each and every one of us human beings are community based creatures and we require each other to furnish us with a sense of fitting in and a context for why we're living.

For the largest part of times gone by, individuals were born and buried in the locality as loads of their forefathers. Our modern civilization is so fragmented, causing us to spend a ton of our lives isolated, even if we're married, that we endure pain as an outcome.

The christian church is to operate as a community of like minded believers; a place where folks can come and connect with other believers so their feelings of isolation can be dissipated. For us to be a community, we have to devote the time and energy communing in unity with each other if we are to realize it's advantages.

We all have trials, concerns and wishes that we crave to communicate with other dependable people. The challenges we encounter can sometimes get the best of us though, not as a result of the size of the trial, but very often because we wonder if there is something wrong with us. On those occasions where we discover ourselves labouring to overcome some of life's obstacles, our minds can hoodwink us into believing that we are some how unique in our challenges.


One single notion can easily lead to another, and sooner than we can comprehend it, we have departed down the detrimental path of believing that there is something critically flawed with us. "A bunch of other people don't seem to be dealing with this kind of challenging situation like I am, so is it possible that there's more than a little something acutely wrong with me?" we think.

There are struggles like this that are inherent in all aspects of our lives and undoubtedly in our spiritual journey as well. Therefore, we all strongly crave to be able to reveal stories about our faith walk with other believers, and obtain some much needed impartiality regarding our relationship with God.

This exemplifies one of the major jobs that we the christian church are suppose to fulfill on the earth. It's vital for us to be getting together with each other in order to edify and assist each other. As a result, it's crucial that we organize our time spent together in such a mode that we are allowed to communicate intimate parts of our lives. We must to be able to develop trusting relationships and this can never be accomplished if we hold onto model's of church that transfer the majority of our time spent together for staring at the back of one another's heads.


It's important that we spend quality time breaking bread with each other, truly get to know one another's passions and concerns, and make the commitment to be the church as opposed to going to a church meeting.
